Hazel Grove High School’s auditorium was transformed into a magical world of wonder and adventure as students presented an unforgettable production of The Wizard of Oz – the classic musical based on the L. Frank Baum novel and the MGM film.

The show, which ran for three nights, featured a large cast of talented students, the amazing school orchestra providing live music as the pit band, and a dedicated crew working behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly.

The musical follows the journey of Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas who is whisked away by a tornado to the Land of Oz, where she meets new friends and foes, and searches for a way to return home.

Night after night, students presented a spectacular show full of magical performances, big ensemble numbers, and larger than life characters!

The Production team praised all the students involved for their hard work and creativity:

“They have come to every rehearsal with clever ideas, a lot of heart and the courage to put on such a huge show.”

Audiences were amazed by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the performance, and gave the cast, musicians and crew a standing ovation at the end of each night.

The Wizard of Oz was a massive success and we are extremely proud of everyone who was involved.

We’d like to thank each and every person (and dog – thanks Toto!) who contributed to this brilliant show.

Thank you to everyone who came to watch for your overwhelming support!
