Life After Laurus Programme
The aim of Sixth Form is to help students prepare for the next step in their lives. Up until Sixth Form, students have all followed very similar routes through education. However, post A Level, there are myriad choices and potential options.
The most common post-18 route is for students to pursue courses at university (including applications to Art, Drama and Music schools). We also encourage students to consider applying for degree apprenticeships.
Across the Laurus Trust we provide the comprehensive Life after Laurus programme that enables students to be successful in gaining offers to the universities of their choice; whether that be gaining a place at Oxford or Cambridge, Medicine at Birmingham or English Literature at Durham.
Year 12

UCAS is the organisation responsible for managing applications to higher education courses in the UK.
Through the Student section of their site, you can investigate universities and colleges and the courses they offer. You will find the Entry Profiles (EP) particularly useful. They provide details about courses, the university or college offering each course, entry qualifications, selection criteria and the admissions policy.
