Registration Day Information
Registration will take place on GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20th August 2026 as follows:
HGHS Conditional Offer Holders – 8.30am – 10.00am
Conditional Offer Holders from other schools – 10.30am – 12.30pm
If you do not currently attend HGHS you will need to bring the following with you:
- Your GCSE results statement
- Photographic ID that contains your date of birth (ideally a valid passport)
- If you do not have a British passport, please bring evidence that you can live and study in the UK.
We hope that you will find the information below useful in answering any questions you may have. There will be a full induction in September. In the meantime, we hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable summer break.

First Day of Term
The timings for the start of term are as follows:
Wednesday 2nd September 2026 – Year 12 only
8.30am – 10.30am – Year 12 orientation
Thursday 3rd September 2026 – All students return
8.30am start – first full day of term for Year 12 and Year 13
