As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Hazel Grove High School students got to explore the developing Sixth Form site and discover the exciting possibilities of apprenticeships.

A group of Year 10 Engineering and Design Technology students got a special tour of the site from Nick, the Site Manager from Rosslee Construction.

Nick showed them how the site was progressing, sharing the vision of the soon to be stunning new building.

Students gained great insight into the construction industry and how different materials are utilised in the important structures that will form the building.

On top of the tour, students also had the chance to interview Nick about his career journey.

He told them how he started as a construction worker, did an apprenticeship to become a brick layer, and worked his way up to being a Site Manager.

The students left feeling inspired and excited to see the finished Sixth Form in September.
