Year 11 students at Hazel Grove High School returned to school today to collect their GCSE results.

The students celebrated their results and being offered places at their preferred colleges or apprenticeships.

Following the cancellation of exams due to the coronavirus pandemic, Martin Stewart, HGHS’s Head of School, said: After such an uncertain year, it was amazing to see our Year 11 students collecting their results today. We are incredibly proud of the way they have responded to the challenges they have faced and it was great to be able to celebrate their fantastic, well deserved achievements today. We wish them all good luck in the next stage of their education.

Stephen, Megan and Lilly were all accepted to their first-choice college.

Ferdinand was “over the moon” with his results and excited to show his teachers.
