Hazel Grove Sixth Form is proud to celebrate another exceptional set of A Level results, marking only its second year of outcomes since re-opening and continuing the strong trajectory established from the outset.
Nearly half of all grades achieved were awarded at A*/A, and an impressive three quarters at A*- B.
These results are a testament to the hard work, resilience and academic curiosity demonstrated by students throughout their studies, supported by the unwavering commitment of staff and families.
The achievements reflect the culture of ambition, excellence and opportunity that continues to flourish across the Sixth Form.
Among this year’s standout achievements are:
- Daisy, who achieved A*A*A, will go to The University of Warwick to study Media
- Tom, who will be heading to the highly competitive Loughborough University to study Sport and Exercise Science
- Lewis, who achieved no less than four grades at A*/A will be going to The University of Sheffield to study Computer Science
- Darcey, with a full suite of A grades, will be heading to The University of York to study German and Spanish
- Lucy, also with a full suite of A grades, will head to The University of Newcastle to study Medicine and Surgery
Emma Moroney, Head of School, said:
“We are immensely proud of every student receiving their results today. These outcomes reflect not only exceptional academic achievement but also the determination, resilience and intellectual curiosity our students have shown throughout their two years, and in some cases five years, with us. I would like to thank our dedicated staff, supportive parents and carers, and, most importantly, our students, whose commitment to learning has enabled them to achieve their goals. We look forward to seeing the exciting paths they take next and hope they remain connected to our community as proud Old Laureates.”
Linda Magrath, CEO of the Laurus Trust, added:
“These outstanding results are a reflection of the ambition and character of our students. Whether progressing to university, higher-level apprenticeships, employment or other exciting destinations, they leave Hazel Grove Sixth Form equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed. We congratulate them on all they have achieved and wish them every success and happiness in the future as they become the newest members of our growing community of Old Laureates.”
