A group of Year 7 and Year 8 students from Hazel Grove High School (HGHS) recently represented the school at the Laurus Trust Science Fair, held at Didsbury High School.
The Laurus Trust Science Fair is an annual event which brings together teams from across the Trust to present projects based on a central theme.
This year, the theme was ‘Curiosity: What’s your question?’
Having finished among the top three entrants in their year groups at the HGHS Science Fair earlier this year, the students earned the opportunity to take their projects forward to the Trust-wide competition.

Throughout the day, they presented their work to judges, staff and fellow participants from secondary schools across the Laurus Trust, confidently sharing their ideas and explaining the science behind their investigations.

The standard of projects on display was incredibly high, with teams from each school showcasing a wide range of creative and thought-provoking ideas.
Our HGHS teams were a credit to the school, speaking enthusiastically about their chosen topics and engaging with visitors throughout the event.

Taking part in the Trust Science Fair gave them the chance to share their passion for science, learn from others and celebrate the curiosity and creativity that underpin scientific discovery.

We are incredibly proud of how they represented Hazel Grove High School and would like to congratulate everyone who took part – well done to all involved!
