A student from Hazel Grove High School has been selected to represent the Snowsport England Squad.
Kai, an ELITE Pathway student athlete, has been freestyle skiing for 10 years.
After impressing selectors with his continuous improvement and potential, he is set to join the Snowsport England Park & Pipe Team B 2022/23.
Mr Haslam, Trust Director of Sporting Excellence and ELITE Pathway Lead, said: “I am absolutely delighted for Kai – to be selected for Snowsport England is an unbelievable achievement.”
He continued: “Kai was a part of our first ELITE Pathway cohort. He has thrown himself into the programme and been involved with numerous mind-set seminars, had access to a nutritionist, strength and conditioning sessions and external visits.”
“I really hope this is just the start for Kai, and one day we see him in the Olympics.”
