Christmas Jumper Day friday 21st december
Christmas Jumper day to fund another school defribillator
On Friday 21st of December 2018 the school is holding a Christmas jumper day. We hope to raise funds towards another school defibrillator. We hope that all students will voluntarily contribute £1.00. We currently have one defibrillator at school, which is stored at the Sports Centre. As the school covers a vast area, another machine will be kept on the other side of school; an additional defibrillator could prove life changing.
Defibrillators can be used in children, teens, and adults. They are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest. If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, chances of survival increase from 6% to 74%. This shows how important defibrillators are and why they should be available in schools and community areas readily.
This is a voluntary fund raising event and we hope that students will join us in a very important cause.
