Hazel Grove Sixth Form students had the opportunity to learn from a local creative agency, Ear to the Ground, which specialises in building powerful brands in sports, e-sports and gaming.

The agency, which has worked with clients such as PlayStation, New Balance, Coca Cola and JD Sports, delivered a presentation and Q&A session to the students in a visit to the Sixth Form.

The presentation covered the different roles and responsibilities of the agency’s team, which included a Creative Director, Talent Manager, Account Manager and Influencer Manager.

The students learned about the various projects and campaigns that the agency has been involved in, and their strategic approach to brand building.

The agency also shared their unique approach to fans, explaining their work with fan groups to understand the behaviour and preferences of wider fanbases in different sectors and regions.

Cam, an Account Manager from Ear to the Ground, speaks in a classroom at Hazel Grove Sixth Form to students about the work he does with the company.
The Q&A session was a chance for the students to ask their own questions.

They heard tips for getting into the creative industry, what skills and qualifications are required, what the challenges and rewards are, and how the agency adapts to the changing digital landscape.

Ear to the Ground’s representatives gave honest and helpful answers, and encouraged the students to pursue their passion and creativity.

Hazel Grove Sixth Form students benefit from events like this which help expose them to different career paths and opportunities, and to develop their employability and entrepreneurial skills.
