Hazel Grove High School Open Evening for 2026 entry into Year 7 will take place on Wednesday 22nd October 2025. We’re looking forward to welcoming prospective students, parents and carers to our school.
To help you plan your visit, we’ve put together some answers to your most frequently asked questions about our Open Evening and what you can expect.
When is the Open Evening?
Our Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
The evening will run from 5pm to 8pm, you can drop in at a time that suits you.
Who is it for?
Our Open Evening is for prospective students and parents/carers who are interested in applying for a Year 7 place at our school to start in September 2026.
What can I expect?
You will have the opportunity to tour our school, meet current students and staff, ask any questions you may have and attend a talk from our Head of School.
When are the speeches?
A speech will be given in the main hall to introduce you to life at Hazel Grove High School.
The speech will take place twice – first at 5.45pm and again at 6.45pm. It will be the same each time, so you only need to attend once.
Do I need to register for the Open Evening?
There’s no need to register, you can drop in at a time that best suits you!
How do I get to the school?
Hazel Grove High School is in Stockport. Our address is Hazel Grove High School, Jacksons Lane, Hazel Grove, SK7 5JX.
Parking capacity is limited, so we strongly advise that guests make use of public transport links or opt to travel by foot to get here.
If you do travel by car, we ask that you be respectful of our neighbours and avoid parking on driveways or blocking access roads.
Accessible parking is available for those who need it.
When is the admissions deadline for the academic year 2026/27?
The deadline for applications is Friday 31st October 2025.
The Laurus Trust is the Admissions Authority for Hazel Grove High School. The co-ordination and administration of student admissions for entry is undertaken by the Local Authority, Stockport MBC.
