We are delighted to reveal Hazel Grove High School’s house mascots, which have been designed by some of our exceptionally talented students.

Since the start of term, we have been running a prestigious art competition inviting students to create the official mascot for each of our five houses; Altius, Citius, Fortius, Laurus and Magnus.

Students were asked to consider the spirit and meaning of the houses in their designs, along with the wider school identity and ethos.

We have been inundated with entries and have been so impressed with the creativity and artistic skills displayed by all our students.

It was a tough job selecting just five mascots, but we’re thrilled with the winning designs, which will now be displayed on the house board in student reception and elsewhere around the school.

Well done to the following students:

Libbi in Year 9 for Citius,

Nicole in Year 7 for Fortius

Keira in Year 8 for Altius

Beth in Year 9 for Laurus

Maya in Year 7 for Magnus

Congratulations to all of our winners, whose mascots will now become a lasting legacy for the school.
