Hazel Grove High School is proud to be a recipient of the Rainbow Flag Award.
This national award focuses on positive LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender plus other related identities) inclusion and visibility in schools.
The award fosters a whole organisation approach, including the implementation of strategies to effectively challenge and combat LGBTphobic bullying.
To achieve the Rainbow Flag Award, we made a commitment to improving the lives of our students, including those who identify as LGBT+, those from LGBT+ families, and LGBT+ staff members.
At HGHS, we work hard to ensure our school is a safe and inclusive place that celebrates diversity and makes all people visible.
This award was given in recognition of our work on inclusivity and visibility for the LGBT+ community.
