Deputy Head Teacher at Hazel Grove High School, Mr Vickers, will be cycling from Sheffield to Amsterdam in June 2022 to raise awareness of and money for a prostate cancer charity.
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition: to stop men dying from prostate cancer. By developing the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, they believe this can be achieved.
Many charities have suffered during the pandemic and this makes it even more important for Mr Vickers to raise money for this charity which already means so much to his family.
Mr Vickers is looking forward to hitting the roads on his bike and getting the miles in over the coming months to prepare for the ride. Everyone at HGHS wishes him the best of luck!
