Mrs J Lambert 

Director of Sixth Form, Assistant Head of School and Teacher of Languages

Mrs Lambert studied French, Spanish and Marketing at Salford University before embarking upon a career in an Aviation Route Development. However, eager to play a bigger part in shaping the future of young people, she decided to start her teacher training in 2007. She has been teaching within the Laurus Trust since 2008, starting her career as an NQT at Cheadle Hulme High School where she later became Trust Director of Languages.

She joined the leadership team at Hazel Grove in 2020, as Assistant Head of School and recently moved into the role of Director of Sixth Form. She is delighted to join the Hazel Grove Sixth Form Team at such an exciting chapter in its life and be able to continue its Outstanding achievements. She has an unswerving dedication to helping young people to realise their academic potential while helping them to open their eyes to the wealth of possibilities for future careers and opportunities all around the world.

Mr B Vickers

Deputy Head Teacher and Senior Link to Sixth Form

Mr Vickers studied Product Design at Sheffield Hallam University, before completing his PGCE at Sheffield. Mr Vickers spent two years at a school in Lincoln before moving to Hazel Grove High School in 2005 where he has been a senior leader since 2009. He has a love of learning and aims to develop students to reach their full potential with uncompromising aspirations for every individual.

Mr Vickers feels very honoured to be Deputy Head for Hazel Grove High School, helping the young people of Hazel Grove develop the qualities and skills that will enable them go on to the future of their choice. He is very passionate about Hazel Grove Sixth Form and the development of the facilities.

Mrs H Roberts 

Assistant Director of Sixth Form and Teacher of English

Mrs Roberts studied English and American Literature at Brunel University, London, before completing her PGCE at the University of Bath. She has been teaching for 24 years, 22 of which have been at Hazel Grove High School! She is an inspirational teacher who shares her love of literature with her students, encouraging them to become avid readers and to use language to find their own voices. She has high expectations of her students and encourages them to be aspirational in the way they view their future selves.

Mrs Roberts feels very honoured to work as a Sixth From lead and as an English teacher. She has devoted her career to supporting the development of young people at Hazel Grove High and she values the achievements of each of her students, no matter how small. Mrs Roberts believes in life-long learning and is passionate about raising the aspirations of her students. She is proud of the contribution that she has made to her students’ lives by supporting them to, ‘go far’ in their applications to employment and higher education.

Ms M Clifton

Head of Citius, Teacher of History and Head of House Link to Sixth Form

Ms. Clifton studied History at Durham University and graduated in 2015. Ms. Clifton worked as an LSA at Cheadle Hulme High School before completing her teacher training with Altius Alliance in 2017. She joined Hazel Grove High School in 2019 and became Head of Citius House in 2021. Ms Clifton has also just completed her Masters in Education in July 2022.

Ms. Clifton is passionate about continuing the House ethos and Laurus Trust cornerstones as students move into the Sixth Form. She strongly believes in providing opportunities for students to develop their leadership potential, actively serve the community, nurture their creativity, and participate in competitions, whilst aspiring to achieve the academic success that will open doors to their chosen futures.

Vicky Gill

Sixth Form Academic Services Manager

Mrs Gill graduated from UMIST with an MSc in Marketing. After graduating she joined a leading retail company as a Marketing Executive before taking on a home-based administrative support role while bringing up her family. She started her journey in education administration at a tutoring firm before joining Hazel Grove High School in 2020.

Mrs Gill feels very privileged to be working in the redeveloped Sixth Form as the Academic Services Manager. She is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sixth Form Team and is often the first point of contact for parents/carers and students. Mrs Gill is passionate about supporting students to prepare for the next step in their lives, opening the door to the future of their choice.
