Friends Of 3RD hazel Grove Scouts & Norbury Guiding - table top

A warm welcome to our section for The Friends of 3rd hazel Grove Scouts
& Norbury Guiding.

The Association re-launched in September 2011 incorporating the School, 3rd Hazel Grove Scout Group & Norbury Guides. It also became a Registered Charity, raising funds together for the three member groups.

During the academic year of 2014-15 an amazing amount of £5,500+ was raised giving the opportunity for the three member groups to fund their own projects.

School Projects during the last academic (2014-15), have mainly been directed at the establishment of the Sixth Form centre.

Our main fundraisings are the monthly Table Tops, of which eight are held on a Sunday morning from September to April. We also hold an annual Car Boot Sale, usually the first Sunday in July.

HGHS Ground Force

We are pleased to  officially launch HGHS Ground Force,  Hazel Grove High Schools very own Alan & Charlie team, for those who are to young to remember, Ground Force was a TV show that improved various

outside spaces to benefit others.

What areas are we working on?

The quad area outside east canteen is the first stop, to create an interesting eating/social area for

student's and the wider community.  A BBQ and stage with electricity point, art are just a few of the features.  Other areas to be reawakened ...Resource Centre outside space, Allotments and much more.

Who can help & what can you do?

Everyone is welcome, staff, students, community groups, businesses, and can join at anytime to help plan, design, apply for funding, get your hands dirty or simply make the tea and sandwiches….we have a lot of work to do and the more support the easier and more fun it is along the way.
