"We welcome any kind of support from local business/organisations to assist us with careers enterprise. All colleges/further and higher educational establishments are welcome to visit the school to speak to students about the opportunities available to them. Please feel free to contact me at the email above"
In January 2018 The government introduced a new “Statutory careers guidance for education and training providers”. As part of this guidance we will be reviewing our current Careers provision and aligning it to encompass the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.
Over the next two years we will be looking to develop further our connections with local colleges, apprenticeship providers and higher education facilities. We will also look to find new opportunities to work with local employers and organisations to enhance our current links.
All our learners from Year 7 to Year 13 are engaged already in some Careers education will students able to access independent careers advice. Most of the support is at present aligned to students in Years 10 – 13, although if students chose they can also access support and advice lower down the school
We would encourage all students to access our KUDOS careers software at www.kudos.cascaid.co.uk/. Here they can explore qualifications, jobs and progression into future careers
