Apprenticeship Information

Careers - Apprenticeships – find out more -

‘Amazing Apprenticeships’ are a national body tasked with offering apprenticeship support and knowledge for schools and colleges through the ASK programmes. They deliver national projects designed to inform and inspire students about apprenticeships on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service. As part of their offer they publish a monthly ‘Parent Pack’ designed to provide talking points and advice. The latest version is here, but we store all the packs on the school website -

We have been fortunate enough to have several guest speakers in school over the past years to discuss apprenticeship opportunities.  Apprenticeships are available as a route to follow both Post-16, at the end of Year 11 and Post-18, at the end of Year 13 in Sixth Form.  They provide a route where you are paid to work, but at the same time receive training through day release to College or University.

Recently we have held assemblies with Year 10 and 11 to again, raise awareness.  Students can search for opportunities at the main government website -
