Children In need
Friday 16th November CIN - Non Uniform/Fancy Dress
Hazel Grove High School and Sixth Form will be supporting Children in Need, which takes place on Friday 16th November 2018. We will be holding a Fancy Dress Day for all students and staff; this will raise students’ awareness of the invaluable work the charity carries out as well as allowing us to raise our own money for the cause.
Additionally, there will be opportunities for purchasing cakes baked by our Sixth Formers and Children In Need merchandise such as Pudsey ears, wristbands and badges on the day. We are also running a, ‘Photo Booth’ for anyone to use, free of charge in the Sixth Form Assembly room. There will also be a ‘Name the Bear’ competition.
It would be great to have as many students and staff in fancy dress as possible, however we understand that some students may not feel comfortable in fancy dress. Students who do not wish to come in fancy dress may come to school in non-uniform but we ask that they dress in bright colours or wear spotty clothes in order to comply with the theme of the day.
We are asking all students to donate £1 to help raise funds for Children in Need, this will be for the non-uniform day. The donations will be collected on Wednesday 14th November and Thursday 15th November. Student donations can be handed to their form tutors at form time.
We will be informing students of the rules regarding suitable fancy-dress costumes however we want the day to be fun. We would not like to limit the choice of costumes a student can pick from however we must also remind students that appropriateness of dress will be expected. Could you please help us to ensure that all the costumes are appropriate for school by re-enforcing the following expectations.
- No costumes that may cause offence to others
- No revealing costumes
- No toy weapons
If you have any questions, please do not not hesitate to ask us at school. Please ring 0161 458 4888 or email email@example.com
