Re: Uniform reminders
We introduced the summer uniform nearly two weeks ago and unfortunately we have seen a large increase in hoodies brought into school and worn by students. Because of this we have had to change our policy on returning these items to students.
Starting from Monday 22nd May, confiscated items of uniform can now only be collected by a parent/carer. Some students say they wear their hoodies because it is raining, however, if this is the case students must wear the traditional all black coat/jacket. Hoodies have never been allowed regardless of the weather conditions.
I also want to remind parents/carers that the school reserves the right to send home any child to change if they are not in the correct uniform. In all cases we would ask parents/carers to collect their child from school.
Finally, a reminder that school shoes must be all black, all leather and not contain any markings. Sadly, some students are being sent home to change their shoes as they do not meet the expectations of the school. Please ensure your child is in the correct uniform to avoid us contacting you to collect your child from school.
I would like to congratulate the vast majority of our students who continue to wear the correct uniform with pride.
Thank you for your support.
