Year 11 Alton Towers Trip
I would like to take this opportunity to give you the information about the planned trip to Alton Towers theme park.
This visit is to welcome our students into Year 11, and to help promote a strong sense of team spirit ahead of what is going to be a very important time for their studies as they move into Year 11. The visit will take place on Friday 8th September 2017. Students will leave school at 9:00am and return at approximately 6:00pm.
The cost will be £25.00 per student. This will include the entrance fee to Alton Towers, the cost of travel and insurance to and from the venue. This is a non-refundable payment.
To secure a place for your son/daughter on this trip, a non-refundable payment of £25.00 using the school’s parent pay system must be paid by Friday 7th July 2017. Parents/carers must also complete the consent form attached to this letter and return this to the pastoral office.
Please note that whilst students do not need to wear school uniform for this visit, clothing and footwear should be appropriate and chosen with due regard to the weather conditions. Students will be outside for the whole day. Taking a packed lunch is also advisable; they may also wish to take along a small amount of pocket money to spend on snacks, drinks, etc. Students will be responsible throughout the day for their own valuables.
Your child’s place on the trip is subject to them meeting our behaviour expectations in school between now and the end of this term. We also expect them to achieve 98% attendance in this timescale. We do reserve the right to withdraw your child at any time from this visit should their behaviour in school warrant their removal.
