At Hazel Grove we have developed a reputation for the breadth of activities and opportunities that are available for our students beyond the classroom. There are many opportunities to enjoy sports, performing arts, music, information technology and involvement in the community to name but a few.

School colours are awarded at our PE Presentation Evening. Our students have consistently won representative honours at town, country and national level.

Music
Our music department with its recently refurbished facilities offers individual tuition to students in a wide range of instruments including keyboard, brass, woodwind, string and percussion. Students are encouraged to join choir and musical ensembles which rehearse and perform regularly.

Drama
Recent productions have involved large numbers of students in drama, singing, musical accompaniment and dancing. Over the years, productions such as ‘Barnum’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ and ‘Oliver’ have all been performed before capacity audiences and have involved students of all ages.
