CIN - Non Uniform Friday 17th Nov
Children In Need - Friday 17th November
Hazel Grove High School will be supporting Children In Need, which takes place on Friday 17th November this year. We will be holding an optional fancy dress day for all students and staff; this will raise students’ awareness of the invaluable work the charity carries out as well as allow us to raise money for Children in Need.
We will be giving out spot prizes on the day and we will have extra special prizes for the best costumes.
It would be great to have as many students and staff in fancy dress as possible but we also understand some students may not feel comfortable in fancy dress. Students who do not wish to dress up can come to school in non-uniform but we ask that they dress as brightly as possible to add to the theme and feel for the day.
We will be informing students in detail about the rules around suitable fancy dress costumes and we want the day to be colourful and fun, but we must also remind students that appropriateness of dress will be expected. Can you please help us ensure that all costumes are appropriate for school by re-enforcing the following expectations.
- No costumes that may cause offence to others
- No revealing costumes/outfits
- No toy/imitation weapons
We are asking all students to donate £1 to help raise funds for Children In Need and we will be collecting money on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th November. Students’ donations can be handed in to their tutors at form time. We will also be selling Children in Need merchandise during the day and a range of cakes.
