Post 16 Options: Education and Training Information Event
Tuesday 10 October 2017, 4:30 – 8:00pm
Stockport Town Hall
Dear Parent/Guardian of Year 10/11 pupil,
The law states that all young people will be required to participate in some form of education and training until their 18th birthday.
Stockport Council has organised a parents’ information evening to help you and your child make informed choices about your child’s next steps at 16, 18 and beyond.
This event has grown in popularity year on year and provides a wealth of information on post-16 options, admissions processes, course content and support available, all in one place. In order to aid registration at the event, we request that you bring this letter with you and hand it in at the registration desk.
Please note that the institutions in attendance vary slightly each year and will include Stockport colleges and school sixth forms, Apprenticeship training providers, a number of higher education providers from within an hour and a half travelling distance from Stockport, as well as support services.
If you would like further information about the event please contact: 14-19 Services on 0161 474 2350 or email: 14-19.Services@stockport.gov.uk.
