There have been a small number of flu cases reported by students at Hazel Grove High School, as a preventative measure - the NHS school nurses team have been at school today to meet with students identified as being at risk. The NHS team will be back in school tomorrow to carry out similar talks with students in year 7 & 8. Students are identified as being at risk if they suffer from the below:
Asthma – with a steroid inhaler (red, purple or brown), diabetes, epilepsy, heart, lung or liver problems.
Whilst there are only a small number of cases reported within school, we would like to encourage all students who are experiencing any of the following flu like symptoms: fever (37.8⁰C or higher) and any one of the following: tiredness, cough, sore throat, muscle pain, runny nose or congestion, wheezing, please ring to inform us of their absence and keep them off school for at least 5 days.
