On Monday 3rd July, 60 Year 9 students invited the SmallPiece Trust into school to deliver a fun and interactive STEM day. The students were placed in teams and asked to plan, design and produce a motorised train carriage with aerodynamic housing similar to the HS2 project.
Mr Massey, Mrs Chesworth and Mrs Mayall were all very impressed with the level of teamwork and determination of the teams. We can see some future designers and marketing managers amongst the engineers and mathematicians. Well done to Erin Fretwell, Elif Bayer, Tom Pegg, Toby Marsden-Pierce and Luke Clayton who were all part of the winning team. They showed a fantastic team ethos and exemplary presentation skills.
Well done to all students involved!
